This tour begins with a guided walk through Nagano’s charming backstreets, as we make our way from the station toward a local cooking studio. Along the way, you’ll pass traditional shops, wooden homes, and tucked-away shrines that reflect the quiet beauty of everyday life in this mountain town.

At the kitchen, you’ll learn how to make oyaki—Nagano’s beloved dumplings—completely from scratch. You’ll knead the dough, prepare the fillings using seasonal ingredients, and shape the dumplings by hand. Then, watch as they’re expertly grilled over an open flame and served hot alongside tea.   • The tour ends near Zenkoji Temple. Your guide can help with directions or suggestions for your next destination.

Meet with our guide infront of Starbucks Midori Nagano Station
13:00 AM / Oyaki House
Great culinary experience of Oyaki making. Oyaki is cooked in irori, which is a traditional Japanese sunken hearth and you will enjoy having it near by cozy & warm bonfire.
14:20 / Walking to Zenkoji temple
Explore more about Nagano!! After enjoying Oyaki maiking, your guide will take you to Nagano’s laid back area to visit some local shops around Zenkoji temple
15:10 / Tour Concludes
The tour concludes at the same place where you meet the guide and the guide will say god bye at this point. but If you would like to explore different places like local shops after this tour, you can say good bye to your guide at around Zenkoji temple area, where is easy to get back to Nagano station by yourself.
